Buy well.
Leave it working.
Grow the group.
Northern Industries was founded in 2019 to acquire JHT, and has bought a business roughly every other year since. The target is one to two more each year, in precision steel engineering, with a focus on the north of England and on customers whose work has to be exact.
Nothing is stripped out. Each unit keeps its name, its plant and its managing director, and the corporate team works one level up: capital, M&A, group-wide operational and ESG improvement, and the synergies between units. The destination is a horizontally integrated, full-capacity UK steel engineering group.
